Volunteering for Wellbeing

Would you like to spend your morning connecting with nature, food and community?

If the answer is ‘yes’ then come to our volunteering sessions that we’re running in collaboration with Vallis Veg market garden. It’s a great opportunity to learn about organic food growing, get some fresh air and eat lunch with ingredients sourced straight from the garden.

Tito, the newest addition to our team, who’s also an experienced market gardener will be there to run the session, show you around the land and answer any questions you might have. Drop in, or come for the whole session, whatever works for you!

How to find us:

Vallis Veg, is an 18-acre organic farm near to Vallis Vale, about 200m from the western edge of Frome. We encourage you to walk to the farm, if possible. It’s about 20 – 25 mins walk from the centre of Frome. Whether you’re walking or driving, follow these instructions to find us:

You can park at Wallington Way (BA11 3EJ) just after the round-about at the top of Vallis Road (as you exit Frome on the Radstock Road). From Wallington Way go through the metal gate and walk straight across the fields following the East Mendip Way footpath. You will be walking across a large field for about 3 minutes. At the end of this walk, go through the metal gate heading towards Vallis Vale but turn immediately right after the gate into the woods (this might be slightly overgrown) following the path through the trees and past the allotments. You will see a large poly tunnel and an outdoor kitchen. Walk past those and continue walking down a gentle slope. The market garden will be at the bottom of the hill to your right.

For any questions email: backtonaturefrome@gmail.com or message us directly.

These sessions are possible thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund.
